Obituary of Altagracia A Perez

Altagracia A Perez, 99, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at the Pilgrim Nursing Home in Peabody.  She was the devoted wife of the late Raphael Perez.

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Emilio Pimentel and Sinforosa Perez.  She was raised in the Santo Domingo and later immigrated to the United States and had lived in Providence, RI and Peabody for the last 45 years.

She was a devoted stay at home mother to her children and grandchildren. She was employed as Jewelry assembler for many years before her retirement. 

Altagracia was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a good companion to her husband.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, but her favorite endeavor was spending time with her family and sharing in all of their activities.  She will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her two daughters, Luz V. Perez and Altagracia L. Ovalle, both of Peabody, her sister, Amparo Pimentel of Santo Domingo and by her 7 grandchildren, Luz Guerra, Rafael, and Elvin Piantini, Damaris Maurais, Miriam Ovalle, and Carlos Ovalle, 20 great children and by 5 great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson Jhonny Piantini

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody and her Funeral Service will be on Monday at 12:00 PM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
