Obituary of Dick McLeod

Peabody – Bruce R. “Dick” McLeod 84, beloved husband of Christiane N. (Klein) McLeod, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. Born and raised in Malden, he was the son of the late Donald and Helen (Firth) McLeod. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Air Force. Mr. McLeod owned and operated C & D Replacement Window Company in Malden and Peabody for the past forty-three years. A longtime resident of Malden prior to moving to Peabody, Dick was an avid golfer and was a member of the Cedar Glen Golf Club in Saugus. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, with whom he shared sixty three years of marriage, he is survived by a daughter, Tammy Drigotas and her husband, George of Peabody, a son, Paul McLeod and his wife, Cherise of Peabody, seven grandchildren, Connor and Cayley Drigotas, Erik, Nicholas, Amanda and Molly McLeod. He was also the grandfather of the late Vincent McLeod and brother of the late Kenneth McLeod and Jerene Staples. His funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, 260 Cochituate Rd. #200, Framingham, MA 01701.
