Obituary of Richard N. Bistany

Peabody – Richard N. Bistany 86, beloved husband of Marjorie J. (Archilles) Bistany, died Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Fouad Abdallah Bistany and Delia (Abdallah) Bistany. Mr. Bistany had owned and operated Associated Wholesalers for many years until the time of his retirement. Prior to that he had worked as a buyer for Peter Fuller Cadillac Oldsmobile Dealership in Boston. Following his retirement, he worked along side his son at Auto Graphics in Peabody for the past twenty four years. A resident of Peabody for the past fifty-two years, Mr. Bistany had authored two books to which he was very proud of. He also had a great love for music and had the gift of playing music on the piano by ear. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Gary Bistany of Salisbury, Mark Bistany of Peabody and Erik Bistany of Lynn and two grandsons, Dylan and Lucas Bistany of Salisbury. He was also the brother of the late Frank Bistany. His funeral services will be private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
