Obituary of Helen Waters

Peabody – Helen (Lehto) Waters 92, beloved wife of the late Henry J. Waters, died Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody. Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Hokkenen) Lehto. Mrs. Waters had been employed as a cafeteria worker for the Peabody public schools until the time of her retirement. Prior to that she had worked at the former J.B. Thomas Hospital in Peabody. A lifelong resident of Peabody, she was a member of St. John the Baptist Church all of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt who will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, Kevin J. Waters and his wife, Marisa of Beverly, her grandchildren, Connor H. Darcy and Jacob T. Darcy and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Mary Lou Waters and Gail Ann Darcy and sister of the late Lilly Collins. Her funeral services were private.
