Obituary of Leo J. Barron

Leo J. Barron, two days short of his 85th birthday, died peacefully in the High Pointe House Hospice Home in Haverhill, MA with his beloved wife Anna M. Barron holding his hand. Born and raised in Dorchester, Leo grew up with nine siblings, and his parents. He devoted much of his time to his family, reading the newspaper, and learning new things. He graduated high school, and then he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After serving in the Navy, he earned an associates degree from Wentworth Institution to then become a computer programmer for Sears and Roebuck, where he met his wife, Anna, to whom he was married for 58 years. Leo had an infectious smile, and the ability to always make someone laugh. He thoroughly enjoyed time spent with his daughters Linda and Donna, and son-in-law Joe, and granddaughters Kendra, Kaylee and Liana. He also cherished time spent on the dance floor with his wife Anna every Saturday night. He devoted all of his heart and love to his family, as we did his. No matter where Leo went, he always made a positive impact and on everybody’s lives through his larger than life personality and big heart. Dad/Grandpa, our hearts will always be with you. His funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452 in memory of Anna and Leo Barron.
