Obituary of Stephen C. Caruso II

Peabody – Stephen C. Caruso II, age 88, husband of the late Joan E. (Alexander) Caruso, died Monday, June 15, 2020 at the Rosewood Health Care Center in Peabody. Born, raised and educated in Boston, he was the son of the late Stephen and Enis (Poli) Caruso. He moved to Peabody in 1960 where he had since resided. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army. Mr. Caruso had owned and operated the family business, Shelby Street Garage for forty years, until the time of his retirement. Following his retirement, he had worked ten years at Brooksby Village in Peabody as a maintenance mechanic. He is survived by his son, Stephen C. Caruso III of Peabody, a sister, Geraldine Casaletto and her husband, Paul of Derry, NH and numerous nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held in the Conway Cahill Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, Friday, June 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
