Obituary of Edward Pinho

Edward Pinho, 87, of Sanbornville NH and Palm Bay Florida, died peacefully at his New Hampshire residence on Sunday, August 30, 2020 with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of 63 years to Barbara (Karra) Pinho. Ed was born in Peabody, MA on January 25, 1933, the son of the late Fausto and Fernanda (Saraiva) Pinho and was raised in Peabody graduating from Peabody High School and later from Northeastern University in 1964 and was a member of the MENSA Society. He held two occupations, a Mechanical Drawing Teacher at the Danvers School System and later at Peabody School System in Junior and Senior High School during the daytime. At night he was an engineer at the GTE Sylvania Company at the Loring Ave., Salem plant which he was employed for over 30 years prior to his retirement in 1989. In 1989, Ed and his wife moved to Palm Bay, Florida in the winter and summered on Great East Lake in Sanbornville, NH for the past 31 years. Ed was a veteran of the Korean War serving in Germany and was a member of the Portuguese American War Veterans Post 1 of Peabody. He enjoyed playing golf, playing Pool and was an avid Red Sox & Patriots Fan. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward J. and Suzanne Pinho and Todd and Sally Pinho all of Danvers, MA, his 3 grandchildren, Corey, Rebecca and Molly Pinho of Danvers, his two sisters, Sandra Wilkins and Brenda and her husband Manuel Brazil all of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at OUR DOWNTOWN PEABODY SQUARE LOCATION AT 20 CHURCH ST, PEABODY with a Service there at 7:00 PM.
