Obituary of Joseph C. Colarusso Jr.

Joseph C. Colarusso Jr. 60, formerly of Somerville, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Salem Hospital. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Joseph C. Sr. and Sheila (Dansereau) Colarusso. He was raised in Somerville and received his education in the Somerville school system. An honorably discharged and proud veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Navy. A longtime resident of Peabody, Mr. Colarusso was an avid Boston sports fan. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving him are two daughters, Jillian Colarusso of Peabody and Emily Despres and her husband, Jeremy of Peabody, a son, Adam Colarusso, a grandson, Nethanel Colarusso of Missouri, a sister, Karen Colarusso of Haverhill, four brothers, Anthony Colarusso and his wife, Denise of Arlington, Albert Colarusso of FL, Charles Colarusso of Arlington and Steven Colarusso of NH and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Susan Mercado. His funeral services will be private. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
