Obituary of Alexandra D. Tingus

Peabody – Alexandra D. (Delivorias) Tingus 88, beloved wife of the late Constantine “Connie” Tingus, died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Dimitrios and Anna (Apostolopoulos) Delivorias. She received her education in the Peabody school system, graduated from Peabody High School and continued her education at a secretarial school in Boston. Mrs. Tingus had been employed for many years as an executive secretary at the General Electric Company in Lynn until the time of her retirement. A lifelong resident of Peabody, she was an active member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody where she and her husband were founders of the Alexandra and Constantine Tingus Scholarship Fund at the church. She was the sister of the late Mary Delivorias and Peter Delivorias and is survived by her two nieces, Linda Delivorias of Owings Mill, MD and Karen Guilmette of Boxford, a sister-in-law, Nancy Delivorias of Peabody, a cousin, Pauline Brown of Manchester by the Sea as well as her extended family including Felicia Lazarakis-Roumeliotis of Andover. Her funeral service will be held at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Burial at Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
