Obituary of Scott P. Sanford

Peabody – Scott P. Sanford 60, beloved fiancé of Laura E. Connolly, died Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Stoneham, he was the son of Paul and Marjorie (Myers) Sanford of Salisbury. He was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School, class of 1978. Scott had been employed for thirty-five years as a machinist for Paradigm Precisions in Malden until the time of his illness. A resident of Peabody for the past four years and prior to that in Stoneham, Scott was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed the beach and had a great love of sports in his younger years. He was a loving fiancé, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his fiancé and his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Deanna Usher and her husband, Sayer of Wilmington and Danielle Sanford of Stoneham, two grandchildren, Dustin and Conley Usher, two sisters, Debra Hanson and her husband, Douglas of Medford and Paula Breen of Newburyport and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody, Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
