Obituary of Patricia Eleanor (Witham) Newton
Patricia Eleanor (Witham) Newton of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died early Tuesday morning at Union Hospital in Lynn following a lengthy illness. She was the devoted wife of Robert Newton of Peabody with whom she shared over 44 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Vivian (Patten) Witham. She raised and educated in Peabody, and attended Peabody Public Schools. She later lived in Lynn for 20 Years before moving back to Peabody several years ago.
She was currently working as a driver for Atlantic Express for special needs adult and children for the past 11 years.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’ s Episcopal Church in Peabody and also enjoyed knitting.
Besides her loving husband of 44 years, she is survived by three sons, Robert H. and John Newton both of Lynn, and Michael Newton of Peabody; two daughters, Cheryl Newton of Peabody and Dawn McNulty of Beverly; a sister, Joan Brewster of Lynn; 10 grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late James Newton and sister of the late Ralph Witham Jr.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by Funeral Services in St. Paul’ s Episcopal Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Monday from 4 until 8 PM. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
