Obituary of Edmund L. "Eddie" Curran
Edmund L. “Eddie” Curran, 64, husband of Anne M. (Eramo) Curran of Peabody, died Friday June 1, 2007 at the Salem Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Curran was born on September 5, 1942 in Arlington, son of the late Joseph and Angela (Avellino) Curran. He was raised in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School and resided in Arlington before moving to Peabody in 1972.
Mr. Curran was employed for 40 years as a foreman at C.J. Mabardy Inc. in Cambridge and was also an usher at St. Adelaide Church in Peabody for the past 15 years.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, he is survived by his children, Christine M. Devereaux and her husband John of Haverhill and Brian J. Curran of Peabody; a brother and his wife, Robert and Joan Curran of Woburn, a sister, Ann Blondin of Watertown; his mother-in-law, Emily R. Eramo of Peabody; 2 bothers and sisters-in-law, George and Kathy Eramo of Rowley and Nancy and Eddy Pacheco of RI; a close friend, Elisa Doucette of Peabody and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday June 5, 2007 at 10 a.m. in St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. As per his request there will be no viewing hours. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the North Shore Cancer Center, 17 Centennial Dr., Peabody MA 01960. Arrangements by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody.
