Obituary of Mary Panagopolis

Mary Panagopolis, 89, of Peabody, died Friday June 1, 2007 at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. Miss Panagopolis was born on February 20, 1918, in Peabody, daughter of the late Vasilios and Genoula (Contos) Panagopoulos. She was raised in Peabody and was a lifelong resident of the city. Miss Panagopolis was employed for 42 years as an assembler at GTE Sylvania in Danvers until her retirement. Several cousins and many friends survive Mary. As per her request, services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody MA 01960.
