Obituary of Angelo J. Monaco
Angelo J. Monaco, 50, of Peabody and formerly of Charlestown, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon at the Lahey Clinic North in Peabody. He was the devoted husband of Nancy (Connarton) Monaco with whom he shared over 33 years of marriage.
Born in East Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Martin) Monaco. He was raised and educated in Charlestown and was a graduate of Charlestown High School, class of 1974. He has spent the last 14 years living in Peabody.
He recently just started working at the Winchester Nursing Center in the House Keeping and Maintenance department, prior to that, he worked as Limousine Driver for the All State Limo Company in Wilmington.
He enjoyed listening to music and every Thursday night he spent with his friends at the Capone’s Restaurant in Peabody. He also enjoyed fishing and loved watching baseball and football. He was a member of the Gerry #5 V.F.A.; Inc Club in Marblehead.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Matthew and Timothy Monaco, both of Peabody, three brothers, Robert and his wife Karen Belanger of Revere, Joseph Belanger of RI., and Paul and his wife Patricia Belanger of East Boston, three sisters, Lana and her husband Edward Thurman of Lynn, Dorothy and her husband Ralph Melito of Saugus, and Maryann Lyons of Revere. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Andrew and Laneigh Monaco, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the father of the late Kelly Ann Monaco.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home,82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
