Obituary of Mary Lou (Madden) DiFranco
Mary Lou (Madden) Di Franco, 56, of West Peabody, died Saturday evening at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston after a short illness. She was the wife of Edward J. Di Franco
with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.
She was born in Malden on June 8, 1951, the daughter of the late Leo and Marian (Mc Nutt) Madden and was a graduate of Malden High School and later Bay State Junior College.
She had been a secretary and worked with her husband at the Somerset Jack Company of Somerville for 10 years prior to her retirement 2 years ago. She previously was a medical secretary at the Malden Hospital.
She enjoyed using the computer and tending to her garden. She was also an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan for many years.
Surviving her besides her husband are two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Julie Di Franco of St. Louis, Missouri, and Christopher R. Di Franco of Salem, MA, three brothers, Dennis Madden of Georgetown, Ma, Thomas Madden of Methuen and Timothy Madden of Wilmington, MA, a grandson, Graham Di Franco of St. Louis, MO and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 until 12:00 Noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held there at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
