Obituary of Frances H. (Pietrzak) Murawski

Frances H. (Pietrzak) Murawski PEABODY—Frances H. (Pietrzak) Murawski, 76, beloved wife of the late Casimir Murawski, died unexpectedly on Monday evening at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Hospital North in Peabody following a long illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Stanislas and Antonia (Buras) Pietrzak, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She graduated from Peabody High School. Mrs. Murawski was a Sales Clerk at Filene’s Basement in Peabody for over 20 years, besides enjoying her role nurturing her family. Frances enjoyed sociability and gathering with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her family throughout the country, playing Bingo, visiting Foxwoods, and going to the Torigian Community Life Center. She is survived by: a son, Thomas Murawski of Seattle, WA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura & James Dillon, Sr. of Lynnfield and Louise & Brian McHugh of Ipswich; five grandchildren, James Jr., Matthew, and Michael Dillon of Lynnfield and Sean and Jillian McHugh of Ipswich; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen & Adolf Andruskiewicz of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents and husband, by a brother John Pietrzak and infant son Paul Murawski. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness & Prevention.
