Obituary of Richard C. Kennison
Richard C. Kennison, 49, of Peabody, died unexpectedly early Monday morning at the Lahey Clinic North, Peabody.
Born in Winthrop, he was the son of Louise (Somers) Kennison and the late Everett L. Kennison, Sr., He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1977.
At the age of 12, he was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy which progressed throughout his years. During this time, he enjoyed listening to the 1950’s and 1960’s oldies music. He also loved watching baseball and could be seen around the area’s little leagues game’s cheering on the teams. He also was avid Red Sox Fan as well, and when he was younger, he enjoyed painting.
Besides his loving mother, he is survived by his three brothers, James and his wife Robin Kennison of Lynn, David Kennison of Peabody and Everett L. Kennison Jr. of Derry, NH, his sister, Kim Brooks of Salem and several nieces and nephews and a great niece.
His funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
