Obituary of Pauline E. (Jacavanco) McDaid

Pauline E. (Jacavanco) McDaid, 59, of Beverly, wife of the late William F. McDaid, died Friday July 6, 2007 at the Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester after a brief illness. Mrs. McDaid was born on December 15, 1947 in Peabody daughter of the late John and Josephine (Matuszak) Jacavanco. She was raised and educated in Peabody. She resided in Peabody for most of her life before moving to Beverly 8 months ago to live with her daughter. Pauline was employed for many years at the Dahl Shoe Company in Peabody and also worked in the same capacity in Maine. She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping and traveling. She is survived by a daughter, Sabrina T. McDaid and her fiancée Reynaldo Melendez of Beverly; a son and his wife Thomas A. and Stephanie Melendez of Saugus; a sister and her husband, Shirley A. and Peter Grenier of Middleton; a brother, John J. Jacavanco and a longtime companion Susan Chevalier of Middleton; 3 grandchildren, Thomas A. Jr., Brianna & Nicholas Melendez all of Saugus; an uncle, Walter Jacavanco of Bedford; a niece, Sherry Tirelli of Middleton and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Her brother Richard Jacavanco pre deceased her. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 10, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St. (downtown location) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may pay their respect Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A family committal of ashes will be held at a later date.
