Obituary of Stasia M. (Brolewicz) Medeiros

Stasia (Brolewicz) Medeiros, 89, beloved wife of the late Manuel S. Medeiros, died early Saturday morning at the Rosewood Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Laura (Levendowska) Brolewicz. She was a lifelong resident of the city. Stasia worked as a Cashier/Clerk with Discount Cleansers in Peabody, and later was a Clerk with Morgan Memorial for 17 years before retiring 25 years ago. She was active at St. John’s Church in Peabody where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality, and also was active in the Council on Aging in Peabody. She enjoyed knitting & crochet and gathering with family and friends. She is survived by: four sons and two daughters-in-law, Edward M. & S. Nancy Medeiros of Andover, George R. Medeiros of Peabody, John R. Medeiros of Holland, MA, and Paul & Constance Medeiros of Exeter, NH; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Brolewicz of Walla Walla, WA; three sisters, Jennie Bovio of Peabody, and Regina Brolewicz and Mildred Brolewicz, both of FL, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces & great-nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn ST. location, Peabody. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
