Obituary of Carol Ann Griffin

Carol Ann Griffin, 53, of South Peabody, died Tuesday at the Salem Hospital after a four year battle with cancer. She was born in Lynn on July 26, 1953, the daughter of Rita G. (Linehan) Griffin of Peabody and the late Raymond J. Griffin and was a graduate of Lynn English High School in 1971 and resided in Lynn before moving to Peabody 21 years ago. She was a graduate of Salem State College in 1975. She had been a federal bank examiner with the US Government OTS office of Thrift Supervision in the Boston Office for 25 years prior to her disability retirement in June of 2006. She enjoyed traveling, listening to music, going to Movies and reading her novels. She is survived by her mother of Peabody, a brother, Robert J. Griffin of Salem, her aunt and uncle, Marjorie Griffin of Beverly and Leo Griffin of Lynn and several cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, So. Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
