Obituary of Pauline Marie Mahoney
Pauline Marie Mahoney, 71, formerly of Peabody, died Wednesday evening at the Harborside Twin Oaks Nursing home in Danvers after a long illness.
She was born in Peabody on February 26, 1936, the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Lucy (Hahesy) Mahoney and resided here most of her life before moving to Danvers 7 years ago.
She was a graduate of Salem State College and also received her Masters Degree there.
She had been a teacher in the Peabody School System for over 20 years prior to her retirement 25 years ago.
She is survived by her four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Honorable Francis X. Mahoney, a retired judge from Freeport, Ill, Dr. Thomas R.and Eileen Mahoney of Swampscott, John B. and Jacqueline Mahoney of West Peabody and David A. and Carol Mahoney of Tewksbury, MA, several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the sister of the late Roger and James Mahoney, Margaret Mahoney and Marcella Hosker.
A visitation will be held on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to All Care Hospice, 16 City Hall Square,
Lynn, MA 01901.
