Obituary of Alexander Prilgauskes

Alexander Prilgauskes PEABODY—Alexander Prilgauskes, 90, beloved husband of the late Luzania (Pacheco) (Constantino) Prilgauskes, died Tuesday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. Born in Pepperell, he was the son of the late Stanislaus and Domicilia Prilgauskes, he lived there on a family farm for several years where he also attended schools. He lived in Fitchburg for many years before moving to Peabody where he lived for nearly 50 years. Mr. Prilgauskes worked at SCM Appliances in Salem before his employment as a Foundry Worker with United Shoe in Beverly for 12 years before retiring 25 years ago. He enjoyed spending time at the Torigian Community Life Center where he was active in the Aerobics Program, was part of the group who gathered to walk at the North Shore Mall in Peabody in the mornings, and he liked gardening and playing the numbers. He is survived by: two step-daughters, Frances Gallant of Groveland and Theresa Gagnon of Beverly; a step-son, James Constantino of Salem; nine step-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death, besides his wife, by a step-son John Constantino. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to his Funeral, gathering on Friday at 10 AM from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm ST., Danvers, MA 01923.
