Obituary of Rickey J. Tempesta

Rickey J. Tempesta PEABODY—Rickey J. Tempesta, 56, beloved husband of Denise (D’Amico) Tempesta of Peabody, died suddenly and unexpectedly after being stricken while fishing at Revere Beach early Friday morning. Born in Battle Creek, MI, he was the son of the late Antonio and Mary C. (Gossett) Tepmpesta. He lived most of his life in Massachusetts. He graduated from Lexington High School. He lived in Peabody for nearly 30 years. Mr. Tempesta was a Heavy Equipment Operator with the Mass Port Authority, based at Logan Airport, for many years. Rickey enjoyed his family and friends, fishing, walks with his Black Lab around town, and enjoyed the simplicity of life. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, and was in the National Guard for 10 years. He is survived by: his wife, Denise (D’Amico) Tempesta of Peabody, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage; two daughters, Nicole Tempesta & her fiancée John Ternullo and Danielle Tempesta, both of Peabody; his mother and father-in-law, William O’Neil & Velia D’Amico O’Neil of Peabody; a brother-in-law, Frank D’Amico of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn ST. facility, Peabody. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
