Obituary of Lillian Frances (Davis) Chambers

Lillian Frances (Davis) Chambers, 83, of Plymouth, Ma and formerly of Peabody, a, died Saturday evening at her residence surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was the wife of Neil R. Chambers with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. She was born in Boston, MA on August 28, 1923, the daughter of the late Francis and Lillian (O’Rourke) Davis and was raised in Beachmont. She had resided in Peabody for 35 years before moving to Plymouth 7 years ago. She had been a sales clerk at Lori-Ann’s Bakery in Charlestown and later at Saia’s Bakery in West Peabody prior to her retirement. She loved dancing, traveling and camping but the most important thing to her was her family which she so much cherished. Surviving her besides her husband are a son and daughter-in-law, Neil and MaryAnn Chambers of Haverhill, MA, three daughters and a son -in-law, Leah and James Carvino of West Peabody, and Kim and Karen Chambers both of Salem, MA, her sisters, Patricia Greenberg of Wilmington, Ma and Muriel Scorza of Carver, MA, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Carol Wilcox and the sister of the late June Robinson, Helen Sorrento, Joan Donovan and Geraldine Natola. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn ST., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., West Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
