Obituary of Teresa M. (Bowers) Ahordini

Teresa M. (Bowers) Ahordini, 95, of Peabody, died peacefully Friday evening at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late John Ahordini. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Connolly) Bowers. She was raised and educated in Lynn and has lived in Peabody for the past 70 years. She worked as a fancy stitcher for many shoe factories in Lynn and later, she worked for Huse Liberty Mica in Peabody before retiring in the late 1950’s. She was an active member of the Peabody Council on Aging and also enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and she especially enjoyed being with her family. She also enjoyed her summers in Ossipee, New Hampshire. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Ahordini of Beverly, her three grandchildren, Christopher Ahordini of Georgetown, Michael Ahordini of Beverly, and Jill Anderson of Danville, NH., her great grandson, Matthew Anderson of Danville, NH, and is also survived by a niece, Gloria Deans of Concord, NH. She was the mother of the late James Ahordini, and the sister of the late Joseph and Ernest Bowers and Greta Currier. Her visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. At the request of the family, a private funeral service will be held on Tuesday with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
