Obituary of Anna Theresa (Coraine) Santos

Anna Theresa (Coraine) Santos, 91, of Peabody, died Saturday afternoon at the Jewish Rehab Center in Swampscott following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles Santos. Born in Swampscott, she was the daughter of the late Florindo and Lucia (DeCamillo) Coraine. She was raised and educated in Swampscott and upon marrying her husband Charles, has been living in Peabody for the past 58 years. Prior to raising her daughter, she worked for over 20 years at GTE Sylvania on Loring Ave in Salem as an Assembler. After raising her daughter, she cleaned houses and did some babysitting. She was a member of the Italian American Club and St. John’ s Sodality, both in Peabody. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening and was very active with the Jewish Rehab Center in Swampscott. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lucille A. Santos of Peabody; three sisters, Eleanor Coraine and Lavinea Romano, both of Salem, and Antoinette Renzi of Danvers. She was the sister of the late Michael Coraine, Jessie DiCarlo, and Helen Ruggiero. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Chestnut St., Peabody Facility. Burial in St. Joseph’ s Cemetery, Lynn.
