Obituary of Catherine C. (Caulfield) Lawlor

Catherine C. (Caulfield) Lawlor, wife of the late James Lawlor, died Wednesday following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late James and Katherine (Gallagher) Caulfield. She was a lifelong resident of the city, and graduated from Peabody High School. She spent time living in Naples, FL for parts of the last 18 years. Besides nurturing her family, Mrs. Lawlor was an Operator with New England Telephone, worked at Paine Furniture in Peabody, and also the Admitting Department of J.B. Thomas Hospital in Peabody. She was an avid golfer, along with her husband was a member at the Thomson Country Club in North Reading for 43 years, and Royal Wood Country Club in Naples, FL for 18 years, and enjoyed rounds with the “Ladies who played 18 Holes.” She was a communicant of St. John’s Church in Peabody all her life. She is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Kathleen McEachern & her husband James of Peabody, Mel Kastanotis & her husband James of Reading, and Anne Marie Pasquale & her husband Robert of Wakefield; six grandchildren, Maura McEachern Nagy, Brendan McEachern, Nicholas and Andrew Kastanotis, Mary and Laura Pasquale; four great-grandchildren, Ryan & Shannon Nagy, and Avery & Owen McEachern; four sisters, Helen Mulherin, Mary Coombs, both of Peabody, Margaret Murrin of Dorchester, and Nancy Hearn of Severna Park, MD; three sisters-in-law, Angela Caulfield and Ann Dillon, both of Peabody, and Mary Lawlor of Brookline; and many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. location, Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 8 AM from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in St. John’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited.
