Obituary of Frederick J. Vlasuk, Sr.

Frederick J. Vlasuk, Sr. PEABODY—Frederick J. Vlasuk, Sr., 66, died unexpectedly on Thursday morning at the North Shore Medical Center-Salem Hospital. Born in Peabody, he was the son of Helen (Coffin) Vlasuk of Peabody and the late Julius Vlasuk. He graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1959. He served in the National Guard from 1960 to 1964. Fred operated his business, Fred & Christy Auto Body in Peabody for several years, before working at Salem District Court. He later worked in Maintenance with the Essex County Sheriff’s Department at the new Middleton Correctional Facility until his retirement. He enjoyed sports in general, and collectibles and autographs from Westerns, comic books and television. He is survived by: two sons, Frederick J. Vlasuk, Jr. of Lynn and James Vlasuk of Everett; one daughter, Catherine Vlasuk of Los Angeles, CA, his mother Helen Vlasuk of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. He was the former husband of Diane Comfort. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 7 -9 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn ST., Peabody. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM in ST. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody
