Obituary of William L. "Bill" Styles

William L. “Bill” Styles, 85, of West Peabody, died Saturday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with his family by his side after a long illness. He was the husband of Lena (Gigliotti) Styles with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. He was born in Everett, Ma on March 31, 1922, the son of the late Jack A. and Edna (Lamb) Styles and later moved to Wakefield graduating from Wakefield High School in 1942. He had been a resident of Peabody for the past Fifty seven years. He had been a service manager of the Stuart Warner Company of Boston and New England area for 40 years prior to a disability retirement in 1982. He enjoyed trains and was a member of the Mystic Valley Railway Society that traveled throughout the United States by train. He was also a member of the National Rifle Society. Bill enjoyed woodcarving and leather tooling. He also liked trail bike riding, motorcycling and riding snowmobiles. In addition, he liked to cook and share his meals with his family. Surviving him besides his wife are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jack and Pamela Styles of Salisbury, MA and W. Mark Styles of New York City, NY and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Styles and Richard “Dickie” Styles. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility. His Funeral Service will be held there on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923 in his memory.
