I was fortunate to have known Alan and his brothers through their cousin, my brother-in-law, Ronnie Boyd, Sr. My visits to NE are fondly remembered because of the generosity of the Boyd boys. They made me feel welcomed as Phyllis’ little sister, introducing me to the wonderful beauty of NE?especially the snow on Gallows Hill and sledding! I regret not knowing Alan as an adult and appreciate knowledge of him through so many kind words about the man I knew as a very sweet, thoughtful and gentle young man. Abba Father, be with Alan’s loved ones in their time of grief, knowing that with Your mercy and love, we will some day see Alan again. Kate (Kathy) Starr, Gloucester, Massachusetts [formerly a Philadelphia resident]

Mr. Alan was a wonderful teacher and mentor. I am happy that I had the opportunity to work for him many years ago. He was always soft spoken and was willing to help anyone who needed it. Cape Cod Child Development will not be the same without him. Rest in peace, Mr. Alan.

We didn't know Alan personally. He was a loving brother of Tom Boyd, my brother-in-law, who is married to my sister, Eileen. We are so sorry for the loss of a brother, uncle, son, and brother- in- law in the Boyd family.

Ron and Kathy Chassie
