Obituary of Winifred Elizabeth Aldenberg
Winifred Elizabeth (Strickland) Aldenberg, 86, of Peabody, died Friday at the Salem Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of
The late Roy Ernest Aldenberg.
She was born in Boston on July 4, 1916, the daughter
Of the late Archibald and Minnie (Farrell) Strickland and was raised in Medford and
Was a graduate of Medford High School. After her marriage, she moved with her
Husband to Malden where she lived for 13 years and had been a resident of Peabody
For the past 37 years.
During WW 11 she had been employed at the Salada Tea
Company. She liked to Sew and was a devoted mother who enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Alan Aldenberg of Peabody; a brother and
3 Sisters-in- Law, Wilfred and Vina Strickland of Burlington, Doris Strickland Brenton
of Arlington, Ma and Janet Strickland of Medford, Ma. and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John and Arthur Strickland.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. John’ s Lutheran Church, Ellsworth Road, Peabody. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Mem. Park, West Peabody. Visiting hours on Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Lung Association, 1 Abbey Lane, Middleboro, Ma. 02346.
