Obituary of Mary Theresa (Donnarumma) Sylvestro

Mrs. Mary Theresa (Donnarumma) Sylvestro, 91, of Peabody and formerly of the Readville section of Hyde Park, Boston, died Thursday morning at the Pilgrim House Nursing Home, Peabody after a long illness. She was born in Boston on December 5, 1915, the daughter of the late Giovanni and Emilia (Villani) Donnarumma and had resided in Readville for 70 years before moving to Peabody 11 years ago. She had been a hairdresser for many years and enjoyed fashion and clothing designs. She later worked at the Court House in Dedham prior to her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and being for her family. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and Joseph DiSanto of West Peabody, two sisters, Jennie Linskey of Hyde Park, Boston and Eith Tropeano of Holbrook, ME, 2 grandchilden, Debra Petras and Denise Gullotto both of Peabody, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Dominic Donnarumma, Adeline Monopoli and Anna Burke. A Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM.
