Obituary of Mario D. Di Salvatore
Mario D. Di Salvatore, 90, of Peabody, died peacefully Sunday evening at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Marie (Sutherland) Di Salvatore.
Born in Cassino, Italy, he was the son of the late Costantino and Cristina (Fionda) Di Salvatore. He was raised and educated in Italy and later immigrated to the United States and has been a resident of Peabody for the past 40 years.
While living in Peabody, Mario worked as Security Guard, first at Brookline Trust in Brookline and later, at the West Peabody Office Park for 17 years before retiring. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and working in his garden grwowing his tomatoes as well as his grape vines and fruit trees.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Di Salvatore of Utah and Anthony Di Salvatore of Danvers, a daughter and son-in-law, Diana (Di Salvatore) Nicolo and her husband, Peter of Peabody, and is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, and Andrea Di Salvatore and Angelina and Gianna Nicolo, and many nieces and nephews in Italy.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM in St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
