Obituary of Belmiro Joseph Santos

Belmiro Joseph Santos, 86, of Florida and formerly of Peabody, died June 1, 2007 in Sebring, Florida. He was the devoted husband of the late Alice (Richardson) Santos with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Lowell, and raised in Peabody, he was the son of the late Frank and Lepolina (Cunha) Santos. He moved to Sebring, Florida in 2006. Mr. Santos is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ward Schmidt of Sebring, FL, a brother, Edward Santos of Salem, two grandchildren, Lorene Machado of Danvers and Bob Machado of Las Vegas, NV, two great grandchildren, Bob Machado Jr., and Diane Machado. He was a member of the Peabody Golden Agers, and a Gold Card Member of Local 14 Construction and General Laborers Union A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at the family lot in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Grant Hoofnagle officiating. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
