Obituary of Randy Spiro Zakas

PEABODY—Randy Spiro Zakas, 46, of Danvers died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday October 5, 2007 after taking an ill turn in Standish, ME. Born in Beverly, he was the son of Spiro and Carol (Crowell) Zakas of Peabody. He lived in Peabody in his youth where he attended schools. He lived several years in Danvers. Randy was a Machinist, and was Owner of his shop, R & J Machine Shop, which he operated out of Danvers for 15 years. He enjoyed the adventure of life as an Outdoorsman—fishing, boating, hunting, biking, and general sports enthusiast. He also enjoyed watching the Blue Angels perform, and will be remembered as a devoted father, relative and friend to many. He is survived by: a son, Randy Zakas, Jr. of Danvers; a daughter, Jessica Zakas of Danvers; his parents, Spiro and Carol Zakas of Peabody; two brothers, Jon Zakas of CA and Angelo Zakas of Danvers; four sisters, Cathy Russell and Charleen Libby, both of Peabody, Cheryl Cochran of FL, and Maryann Garham of Salem; an aunt, Aileen L’Abbe of Danvers; an uncle Angelo & Barbara Zakas of Gloucester, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. His funeral will be held on Thursday October 11, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem
