Obituary of Shirley F. (Nichols) Hudson

Shirley F. (Nichols) Hudson PEABODY—Shirley F. (Nichols) Hudson, 80, beloved wife of the late Ralph E. Hudson, Sr., died in her sleep early Saturday morning Sept. 22 at the Jewish Rehab Center in Swampscott following a brief illness. Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Thelma (Raymond) Nichols. She lived there in her youth and graduated from Beverly High School. She lived in Peabody for over 50 years. She will be dearly missed by her family, including: two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph E. & Lynn Hudson of Annapolis, MD and Richard & Jyll Hudson of Salem; three grandchildren, Jodi Hudson of NJ, Robert Hudson of Salem, and Kristen Hudson of Reading; two step-granddaughters, Katelyn Gordon and Samantha Gordon both of Salem; two great-grandsons, Tyler Howes and Bradley Esposito, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Hudson, a grandson Adam, and a sister Arlene Reid of Beverly. A Memorial Graveside Ceremony will be held on Saturday October 13th at 12 Noon in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics, P.O.
