Obituary of Maria Anna (Del Gizzi) Manni

Mrs. Maria Anna (Del Gizzi) Manni, 79, of Peabody, died Wednesday evening at the Salem Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Boston Police officer Angelo J. Manni. She was born in Boston on September 10, 1928, the daughter of the late Amadeo and Louise (DiCroce) Del Gizzi and was educated and resided there before moving to Peabody 40 years ago. She had been a seamstress at the former Leopold and Morse Company of Boston prior to her retirement. She enjoyed baking and sewing and she cherished being around and helping her family. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Andrea Manni of Beverly, two daughters and their husbands, Lois and Richard Felteau of Beverly and Gail and David Heroian of Ipswich, A sister, Evelyn Del Gizzi of Manchester by the sea, MA, her six grandchildren, Adam and Alexander Heroian of Ipswich, Grant and Sabrina Felteau and Gabriella and Sophia Manni all of Beverly and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM and Monday morning from 10:00 until 10:30 AM at the Conway,Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church.Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
