Obituary of Kenneth Dale Warnock Sr.
Kenneth Dale Warnock Sr., 79, of Peabody, died Saturday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with his family by his side after a long illness. He was the husband of Constance (Curtis) Warnock.
He was born in Hanover, NH, the son of the late William and Mary (Fowlow) Warnock and later moved to Belmont, MA. He was a graduate of Tilton Academy and Babson College.
Following college,He entered the US Navy and served two tours, first in WW 11 and later in the Korean War.
Mr. Warnock then began a career with Dunkin' Donuts that spanned 23 years working in Real Estate Development. He worked in the same capacity with the Morse Shoe Company for 5 years and the Jewel Tea Company prior to his retirement.
Mr. Warnock had resided in Lexington for many years where he was a member of the Lexington Lodge of Elks and ran the Blood Drive for them. He subsequently lived in Lynnfield for 14 years before moving to Peabody 13 years ago.
In his retirement, he became a driver for the American Red Cross in Peabody and for the past two years volunteered with the North Shore Elder Services.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Richard Weissman of Hamilton, three sons and their wives, Russell and Ruth Warnock of New Bern, NC, William and Laurie Warnock of Hempstead, NH and Kenneth Jr. and Lynn Warnock of Manchester by the sea, and his sister and brother-in-law, Madelon and Ernest Volta of Brockton, MA. He also leaves his nine grandchildren, Scott and Bonnie Weissman, Kyle, Connor and Charlene Warnock, Catherine and Victoria Warnock and Maxwell and Ella Warnock and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William Warnock of Bar Harbor, ME.
At the request of the family, a private service will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923 or to Dana Farber Foundation, 41 Binney St., Boston Ma. 02115 in his memory.
