Obituary of Anne M. (Tracey) McLaughlin
Anne M. (Tracey) McLaughlin, 82, of Peabody, wife of the late Harold J. McLaughlin, Jr. died on Thursday October 25, 2007 at the Lahey Clinic North Shore after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. McLaughlin was born on December 3, 1924 in Salem daughter of the late William and Annie (Gallagher) Tracey. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from St. John the Baptist High School class of 1942. She then pursued her education at the Hawthorne Institute in Salem.
Mrs. McLaughlin was employed for 25 years for the City of Peabody Auditor’s Office until her retirement in 1989. She devoted her entire life to her family and especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She will also be missed by her many friends.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Joanne and Robert “Bucky” J. Walsh of Peabody and William J. and Ellen P. McLaughlin of Swampscott and her grandchildren, Jacquelyn M. and Neal McDonald of Beverly, Carolyn E. Walsh of Salem, Michael W. McLaughlin of Jacksonville, FL and Patrick J. McLaughlin of Boston. Her sister Marie Monaco predeceased her.
Her funeral will be held on Monday October 29, 2007 at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Sunday 3 to 6 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
