Obituary of Maria L. (Roman) Breton

Maria L. Breton, 66, of Pleasant St., Lynn, died unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon at her home. She was the wife of the late Amado Fernandes. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Martin & Julia (Vazques) Roman. She immigrated to the United States in 1972 and had been a resident of Salem for several years and has spent the last couple of years living in Lynn. She was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and she also enjoyed gardening. She is survived by 5 daughter, Jacquelyn Roman of Haverhill, Maria Madera of Salem, Clara Roman and Maria Valenti, both of Lynn and Myra Roman of New York; 2 sons, Amado Roman of Salem and Nelson Roman of Georgia; 2 brothers, Felipe and Miguel Vazques, both of the Dominican Republic; 2 sisters, Dominga Franco of Salem and Aura Vazques of the Dominican Republic; 22 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody @ 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
