Obituary of William M. "Bill" Panek

William M. “Bill” Panek, 36, husband of Kathy A. (Carroca) Panek of Peabody, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday November 7, 2007. Bill was born on April 6, 1971 in Beverly son of the late Henry J. and Ursula (Rother) Panek. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Vocational High School Class of 1989 and has been a lifelong resident of the city. Bill had been employed as a machinist on the North Shore and most recently at H & H Propeller Shop in Salem until a few months ago. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing and was a Boston Bruins Fan. In addition to his wife of Peabody, he is survived by his 3 year old daughter, Alexis P. Panek of Peabody; 3 brothers and their spouses, John H. and Jill Panek of Peabody and George and Cindy Dunlap of Salem ; 2 sisters, Diane L. Garyait of Peabody and Patricia C. Dunlap of ME; a step brother and his wife, Dr. Henry F. and Judith Panek of PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Monday 5 to 8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston MA 02215.
