Obituary of Charlotte H. (Hayden) Kutchukian

Charlotte H. (Hayden) Kutchukian, 98, of Peabody and formerly of Watertown, died peacefully on Saturday October 27, 2007 at the Brooksby Village Renaissance Garden Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late George Kutchukian. Born in Bay View, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late James and Agnes (Cossett) Hayden. She was raised and educated in Canada, later lived in Cambridge and Watertown, and has spent the last 52 years living in Peabody. She worked as a bank teller at the former Shawmut, Merchants, Warren, and Fleet Banks, and also at Almy’s credit department before retiring many years ago. She was an active member of the Old South Church for over 50 years, and also was a member of the Peabody Garden Club, Eastern Star, and was very active with the Peabody Council on Aging where she enjoyed taking senior group trips. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Sheila Kutchukian of Dorset, Vt., five grandchildren, Paul, James, and Christopher Kutchukian, Nancy Benson and Jonathan Goodwin. She was the mother of the late Barbara Goodwin, and sister of the late Roderick and Bertram Hayden, Della Syda, Violet Schwartz, and Mary Warren, and was the grandmother of the late Meredith Benfer. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held on Thursday November 15, 2007 at the Family Lot in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
