Obituary of Elinor (Finnegan) Yacovitch

Elinor (Finnegan) Yacovitch, 76, of Lynn, died early Thursday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Nicholas J. Yacovitch. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late David and Nellie (Lomasney) Finnegan. She was raised and educated in Lynn and attended Lynn Public Schools. She worked as an assembler for North American Electronics in Lynn for over 10 years before retiring in the early 1980’s. She also enjoyed cooking but of most importance to her was the time she shared with her family and friends. She is survived by a stepson, Paul and his wife Joyce Yacovitch of Ft. Meyers, Fla., a stepdaughter, Sharon and her husband Robert Kelsey of San Antonio, Texas, her long time caregiver, Patricia Riley of Lynn as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Teddy. She was the sister of the late David and Edward Finnegan, Anne Yacovitch, June Domenici and Helen Derrah. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM at St. Puis Church in Lynn followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
