Obituary of Blanche (Bevilacqua) Gardner

Blanche (Bevilacqua) Gardner, 90, wife of the late Albert Edwin Gardner, died Saturday November 17, 2007 at the Radius Healthcare in Danvers. Mrs. Gardner was born on September 26, 1917 in Revere daughter of the late Angelo Raffaele and Carmella (D’Italia) Bevilacqua. She was raised and educated in Revere. She moved to Peabody following her marriage and from 1957 she made her home in Salem. Mrs. Gardner was employed for 40 years as an assembler at Sylvania’s Boston Street Plant in Salem until her retirement in 1984. She dedicated her life to her family, grandchildren and later was a caregiver to her great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and walking near the water. She is survived by her son, Albert T. Gardner and his significant other Ann Trainor of Peabody; her daughter and her husband, Joan B. and John Eggers of Southwick; a sister, Grace Nardizzi of Malden; her grandchildren, Lorna and Jeff Turlo of Lynn, Kathleen St. Pierre of Beverly, Julie and Jeff Burt of Peabody, Karen and Sean Sullivan of Salem, Brian Foote of FL and Cindy Pettibone of Feeding Hill; 7 great grandchildren, Anjela, Erica, Matthew, Adam, Bianca, Olivia, and Joey; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Her siblings Fred and Larry Drinkwater, Albert and Eddie Bevilacqua and Josephine Crowe predeceased her. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. (new location) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. A family burial will be held at a later date.
