Obituary of Marie (Thompson) Casey

Marie (Thompson) Casey, 89, of Peabody died Saturday evening at the Salem Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of the late James Casey. She was born in Northbridge, MA on December 21, 1917, the daughter of the late Nelson and Rose (Monville) Thompson and had resided in Boston for several years before moving to Peabody 24 years ago. She was employed in the shoe industry for over 30 years and had worked at the Henrietta Shoe Company in Boston for 15 years prior to her retirement. She loved to sew and cook and watch the wrestling matches on television. She is survived by a son, James Casey of Peabody, a daughter, Marie Doucette of Peabody, her three sisters, Ruth Pearlman of Marshfield, MA, Florence Miller of Tewksbury, MA and Agnes Lemere of Attleboro, MA, a grandson, Randy Eurici of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Thompson and Willard Thompson. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Service there at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
