I am a former Gorton's employee and the one thing I will always remember about Al is his great smile. He reminded me of a little boy who just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you go through this very difficult time.
Sandy "Parks" MacPherson

My dear baby brother, my only sibling, I loved you very much. We grew up together in a loving family, cared for by wonderful giving parents. I never won a game after I taught you how to play it. But I loved you for it. I was always so proud of you and your accomplishments. Although we were separated by many miles for many years, we were always close. I will miss you very much and will always take care of Mom. Your loving sister, Maryanne

I remember being a high school junior and spending a week at Marge and Al's house (pudding in a cloud boys?). They asked me to babysit Derek and Chris while Marge went to visit Al during an academic break from his intensive college program. Every time I think of Al I picture him enthusiastically striving for success, with a smile on his face. My warmest wishes are with all of you during this difficult time.

Uncle Fred,
Your smile and laugh always lit up a room, as well as all the lives that you've touched. I loved being around you. You always seemed to make every moment together an enjoyable one. The love and warmth that you carried wherever you went will be dearly missed. You are one of the greatest men I have ever had the pleasure to know. I am very lucky to have had an uncle like you. I love you and miss you and will think of you always.

Love Michael
