Obituary of Edith Romanuk

Peabody, September 25, 2002. Edith (Bent) Romanuk, 82, wife of the late John Romanuk, died early Wednesday morning at the Lynn Convalescent Nursing Home, following a brief illness. Born and raised in Saugus, She was the daughter of the late Victor and Ethel Bent. She had attended Saugus Public Schools and had graduated from Saugus High School. He later moved to Lynn and has spent the last 25 years living in Peabody. She had worked as an executive secretary in the lighting division for General Electric in Lynn for 10 years before retiring many years ago. She enjoyed gardening and was a lover of animals. She also was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Peabody. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Peter Romanuk of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a graveside committal service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at the family lot in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody, MA.
