Obituary of Mary Alice (Titus) Rouse

Mary Alice (Titus) Rouse, 56, of Peabody, died peacefully early Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Douglas A. “Skeeter” Rouse with whom she shared 20 years of marriage. She was born in Winthrop Ma. on February 5, 1951, the daughter of the late Victor F. and Mary M. (Doheney) Titus and had been a resident of Peabody for the past 40 years. She had been employed at the Pilgrim House Nursing home in Peabody for 10 years and also ran her own cleaning business for 10 years. She enjoyed going on cruises and camping in the New Hampshire woods. She had been a member of the bowling league at the Town Line Bowl in Malden. Surviving her besides her husband are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Laura Levesque of Lynn, MA, a daughter, Deborah J. Levesque of Peabody, her 2 step-sons and their spouses, Eric and Colleen Rouse of Peabody and Keith and Colleen Rouse of Lynn, two brothers, Richard Titus of Nashua, NH and Daniel Titus of Peabody, two sisters, Gloria Neal of Goldsboro, NC and Joyce Smith of Lynn, her three grandchildren, Shane Levesque, Austin Rouse and Vincent Vitale and many nieces, nephews and very dear friends. She had been a Foster mother to 13 Children and was also the sister of the late Robert F. Titus and Victor J. Titus. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral Service will be held there on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Peabody.
