Obituary of Arthur Leon "Nasso" Moutsoulas

Arthur Leon “Nasso” Moutsoulas, 54, of Peabody, died suddenly Sunday at the Salem Hospital after being stricken at work. He was the husband of Nina Maria (Gangloff) Moutsoulas with whom he shared 29 years of marriage. He was born in Peabody on May 6, 1953, the son of the late Leon and Demetra (Demopoulos) Moutsoulas and had resided in Peabody all his life.He was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1971 and played on the Basketball team. He also enjoyed boxing and had been a member of St. Michael’s Club in Peabody for many years. One of his greatest pleasures was his grandson, Christopher who, along with his wife Nina, helped raised and who resided with them and enjoyed watching basketball together and watching their grandson playing sports as well. He was loved by his many nieces and nephews and enjoyed treating them at the restaurants. He had been the manager of the Victoria Station in Salem for the past 15 years. He also worked at the Courthouse Pub in Peabody for several years. Surviving him besides his wife are a daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Greg Haralabatos of Melrose, his two grandsons, Christopher Moutsoulas of Peabody and two week old Greg Haralabatos of Melrose, his siblings, James “Demo” Moutsoulas, Charles and William Moutsoulas all of Peabody and John Moutsoulas and Alice Noble both of Salem and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Steve and Nicholas Moutsoulas A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn ST., Peabody facility. His Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by Services in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
