Obituary of Alexander Brazuk
Alexander Brazuk, 83 of Peabody, died on December 6, 2007 at the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers following a brief illness.
Born in Peabody on March 25, 1924, he was the son of the late Sergiey and Martha (Propochenko) Brazuk. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School.
After high school, Mr. Brazuk entered the United States Military and served with the United States Army during World War II. He saw action in Normandy, Rhineland, Central Europe and Northern France. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct and Victory Medal’s and the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon as well.
After the War, Mr. Brazuk worked in the leather industry in Peabody for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Brazuk is survived by a brother-in-law, William “Spud” Sauchuk as well as several friends and cousins.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, where Alexander was life long parishioner, 64 Forrester St., Salem, MA 01970.
